The whole point of having a blockchain as the core ledger of a system is to instill trust at the very heart of the application.
In our current systems, trust is assumed or granted to a 3rd party and we hope that it won’t be compromised (ahem: Equifax).
Blockchains change that and assume that trust isn’t a given, it must be verifiable.
The other day, I was trying to explain this to a potential investor and I just kind of blurted out:
“you can trust much more when blockchain is your first floor”
and we both said, “hey, that’s kind of catchy.”
