Facebook’s Censors and Bitcoin

Facebook’s Censors and Bitcoin

By jer979!! | www.publish0x.com/jer979 | 12 Oct 2021

I know Facebook has been taking a beating recently (too bad for them), so I’ll just pile on.

Back on March 24, 2020, about 10 days into Covid, I saw the unlimited money printer go into effect, so I posted a long message on Facebook (which I visit about 1x/month now) suggesting that people consider putting some of their cash into Bitcoin.

It was a big theme of mine on the blog, see herehere, and here.

At the time, the price of 1 Bitcoin was $6,198

As of the morning when I am writing this, it is $54,109

That’s not to say I’m a genius or anything, but I was right (at least this time).

Here’s the thing, a few weeks ago (in September 2021), I got a “you violated the community standards of Facebook” message and my post was censored.

I challenged it, but haven’t heard anything back.

I don’t know what to make of it, but it’s further evidence (as if we need it) of the powers of centralized systems to rule our lives.
