tl;dr: the day you acquire any amount of Bitcoin is the day you are.

I’m not going to debate the merits of being “woke” in the political sense.

But I’m starting to think that the day one opens their mind to the possibility that the fiat system is self-destructive is the day that one becomes financially “woke.”

And the evidence of that day is when you acquire your first amount (however small) of Bitcoin.

For some, it’s the receipt of their first purchase.

For others, like my friend Adam who received Bitcoin as his wedding gift, it’s the moment where he saw the transaction hit his wallet saying

“this is so cool, now I have to learn more about this.”
