I’ve either been living in my happy little hole (probably) or Apple secretly fixed the performance of the Reminders app without me seeing anything in the release notes of 14.7.1.
It’s great!
I can simply add reminders without needing to jump between views to ensure my entries are saved.
This is actually quite game-changing for me as I used to love having recurring reminders in the native app. Not the end of the world though, as I’ve gotten used to setting up personal automations in iOS Shortcuts. Now, I send myself automated texts for my daily reminders with the set-it-and-forget-it functionality that personal automations bring.
Now that Reminders works as fluid as Notes, I’m definitely going to start utilizing the great features of iOS reminders once again.
Said features including:
- To-do items (like items on a grocery list)
- Location-based Reminders
- Sub-tasks within reminders
- Recurring reminders with specific recurrence patterns
Thank you Apple!
