Microsoft Corporation is buying video game maker company Activision Blizzard that builds the Call of Duty.
Microsoft is acquiring the game company at a cost of 68.7billion USD. This is the biggest deal of all time in the game sector. As a result, Xbox makers are becoming the third largest gaming company in the world in terms of revenue.
Satya Nadela, Microsoft's chief executive officer, says gaming is currently the most dynamic and exciting segment of entertainment across all platforms. Gaming will also play an important role in the development of the Metaverse platform, he said.
