Mountain village of “Asalem” in Talesh- Iran – Through the Haze

Let’s see what happens when a summer village doesn’t reach high in the mountains and there are not many springs along the way.

Aslaem city is one of the Talesh districts in the north of Iran, which like other "Talesh" regions has its own summer villages. In Talesh language "Asalem" has two part "A" means "There" or "that place" and "Salem" means "sound or valid". They say it has been the first right land that came out when all area has been under the water here.

To reach these summer villages, you don't get too close to the heights, and in fact, it is far from the highlands. One friend invited us and I was curious to see what it looks like.

It was a village, nested in the middle of gorgeous trees, not too difficult to reach. A rural area where many residents of the city of Asalem take refuge to spend the summer season.

Old and stout trees, the trunks of some of which had large and strange fungus.

In the afternoon, suddenly a thick fog came down, making our trip such a mystical one.

I like the fog, although it can be dangerous and obstruct the view at times. Especially when you have lost your way or are stuck in a forest that you don't know how to get out of.

Fog can be unsettling, scary, and confusing. It can show you terrifying things, but in reality, they are only branches of trees standing in peace.

Fog can be misleading, but t has its own beauty if you're sure of the path you're on, even through the haze.
