When I step on a mountain at dawn, I feel safe and confident with my headlight that illuminates the road ahead for me every time.

This week the forecast had been predicted pleasant weather, however at dawn when we started moving up, the sky was cloudy and it was raining slightly. As we climbed the mountain for a while, the rain had almost stopped and we were relieved.

So eventually I turned on the headlight to have a head start at darkness while watching ahead, but my upfront view seemed like a halo of rain fading in front of my eyes.

I can’t believe what I was seeing, although there was no real rain, I could see clearly raining in front of my eyes. At first, I thought the lamp was broken or out of charge, but gradually I realized what was going on. This blurry effect was the embodiment of fog that the headlight was showing me.

The fog is actually raining with the tiniest droplets standing still in the air, and when you move at night under the shining headlight just in front of your face, you can wonderfully watch this phenomenon and in fact, see the drops of fog.

I was guessing the path ahead while hardly seeing anything … It was an exciting, scary, and at the same time indescribable thing …But in the end, we got to the summit…

I tried to persuade my female friends to accompany me on a night walk, but most of them thought night hiking was unusual and unacceptable.

As much as I tried to convince them how wonderful and exceptional this night adventure feels, they never got it …
