Now it's 3rd Friday of the lent already, so it's definitely high time to start my promised mini project for this lent. It was supposed to be faster but... well many things happened including a completely failed attempt for therapy (I mean therapist I tried to go to turned out to be one of the worst I could imagine, and sessions with him only gave me more frustration...), some attempts to push some of my fandom projects forward, and the commotion with the new format for my DCA reports, and not being able to use Cointraffic for it anymore.
But let's just go to the main topic...
Introduction - The previous Lent project
As some of You - those who have followed me for a long time already - may remember I do some lent project before already, in 2021. You can read it there - where I also go with listing my lent resolutions. This time I would rather keep my resolutions to myself - if You want some inspiration on doing Your own You can just go to the previous post, but also it's over two weeks passed already so surely most of You already have some. And if You don't even know what Lent is, You can also go to the previous project. But to put it even shorter: it's a period in which we are meant to prepare for the most important Christian holiday by acts of mortification, alms, inner reflection and in general working on oneself.
But my resolutions still are similar, to the ones from the last post. Including the final resolution of course. Also this time I decided to actually make this project into two parts...
Lent Charity
The first part alludes more to the last project(its final resolution), which was taking some part (40% to be precise) of my profits to charities and alike. But with how uncertain the situation was in 2022, and it is now... I don't know if there would be profits(in that relatively short period), and with an increasing part of my portfolio coming from DCA experiment, which important part is NOT selling its asset yet, not taking profits from it... I decided I do something similar but in another way.
This time I decided to disconnect the charity from the state of my portfolio, at least in such a direct way.
So how it will work? Well, I could just choose some fixed amount... but I figured out something which I think will make it... more interesting...
So I figured out some way in which YOU can have an impact on the sum I will use for that charity project. For every like on this post AND any on the posts coming from the second part of the project (a miniseries which I will explain in a short while) I will add 2.5$ (or about 10 PLN) to the "Charity pool" (which will be added at the end of this post and actualized about once a week to show the current status of the project) and at the very end (most likely at Great Friday, when I plan to make the last post of this miniseries) I will close and decide among what charities exactly I will spread out this funds. I think I will use some for lone mothers, some to help young, especially the youngest children, for sick and poor people(including also some help for my Slavic brothers and sisters in Ukraine, though I don't want all of it to go for that - I already make some constant donation for that and there are also people in need in other places), for helping persecuted people (and organizations that give them legal assistance) and some small part also for cultural projects worth supporting. Part will go to some charity organization, and part to specific fundraising. I didn't make the exact decision of how I will divide the funds yet, nor set a final list of charities I will use, so if You know some (charities, fundraisings, etc) which are worth supporting, You may write them in the comments!
Reflections for Way of the Cross
The second part is connected to the Way of the Cross(known also as Stations of the Cross). For those of You who don't know what it is, it's one of Christian worships(aka a traditional devotion), specifically for the lent period. It is done on Fridays evenings when believers gather (usually in church, though there are some exceptions) and go through 14 stations in a sort of spiritual pilgrimage on which they contemplate the Passion of Christ - in other words: His torment through the way of the cross, finalized in dying on the cross for our sins - in a spirit of reparation for what Jesus had to suffer for our sake.

Each station is accompanied by reflections on the specific part of Jesus' painful journey. It is a popular custom in my country, but at least according to Wikipedia (You may also read more about it and its story in an article on the way of the cross there, though I would be cautious about articles related to religion there... though this one seems to not be biased) that's not unique to Poland. Anyway, I always liked it, in large part because of the reflection which accompanies every station. They always let me experience it more deeply on a both spiritual and intellectual level. Being a member of my parish KSM branch (or unit... I'm not sure what will be the right word there, anyway, KSM stands for "Katolickie Stowarzyszenie Młodzieży", which means Catholic Association of Youth, it's church state-wide organization in Poland with branches(or units) in parishes all across the country. You may also see its emblem below) I have prepared such reflection (or to be more precise some text which is meant to serve as entry points for everyone's personal reflections during the Way of the Cross) multiple times and decided... that it will be a good thing to share my reflections for it there. I will be posting them in two versions: Polish (original) and English (translated). I will start with my oldest ones, and finish it with the one I made (or rather will make) for this year. Also, I would publish them mostly on Fridays and Thursdays (most likely original will go first), but today's may be a bit late... I have yet to translate it. I will also possibly publish some more as a catch-up.

All these come from Way of the Cross for youth (in our parish we have a few every Friday, for different age groups, and we as KSM are organizing the youth one), but I never tried to be ultra-strict about that, my reflections were meant to be rather universal, and from the depth of my heart and soul (but well I am still not so old: 27 years - so in the last years before becoming too old to be regular KSM member - but I was way younger when I wrote first ones, barely an adult), though some examples used in it may be a bit more directed to youth. I believe though that these reflections may be useful for anyone. Another side not is that some may have the introduction and epilogue, and some not. It depends purely on it being initially written for it or not.
And if You want to use them in Your parish feel free to do it! It would be nice if You would credit me as a member of branch nr. 3 of KSM of Poznan archidiocese. Or maybe even direct these, with who You will be sharing them, to my profile there.
But for now, that will be all, stay tuned for the first post with these reflections!
...and maybe finally the initial post of my fandom-related blog. And if You happen to come to my posts for the first time, and You're interested in crypto check out my DCA experiment reports! Some other additional posts for that project are also on the way.
