The sun rises in the sky, As I open up my bleary eyes, My head is pounding,

my mouth is dry, And I feel the guilt of last night's lies.

Half-drunk, I stumbled through the streets, With friends I can hardly recall,

We laughed and joked and drank too much, And now I'm paying for it all.

The memories come flooding back, Of conversations, jokes, and songs,

Of moments shared with those I love, And the feeling that I can do no wrong.

But now reality comes crashing in, The hangover that I can't ignore,

The headache, nausea, and regret, For all the things I said and more.

I crawl out of bed and face the day, With a heart heavy and a head unclear,

And vow to never drink again, Until the next time it draws near.

For even though the aftermath is rough, The memories of the night before, Will stay with me forevermore,

And the laughter and the love we shared, Will keep me coming back for more.
