Siren whispers

Siren whispers

He came awake waist deep in the tepid water. He had been drawn here by the lonely song of a siren somewhere out of there.

Still he could hear her whispers in his head as he waded back to shore. Josh! Come to me!

He turned and faced the deep. He stared out into the fog covered bay. It was dark except for when the beam from the lighthouse would sweep his way. Waves were lapping at his bare feet.

Josh! Come back to me!

"Not tonight, harpie. Not tonight.

"Better luck next time."
