My son-in-law sent me a picture of the girls playing in the creek. (The second girl is just in front of and to the left of the one in the striped shirt.) He uses a flip phone so pixel count and resolution are horrible.
I decided to process the pic through the GIMP with the "oilify" script with the default settings.
I think it turned out well.
Now I need to get some oils and a canvas and paint it for real.
