The SEC, the Yankee regulator who deal with Securities and Exchange rules, just spotted and charged an allegedly fraudulent scheme conducted by a businessman who defrauded dozens of persons in a investment business and raised a considerable sum of $33 Million.
The businessman, and their companions lured investors most of them from Medical area claiming that they developed a proprietary algorithm that allowed them to generate spectacular profits while trading with crypto, as said in a statement from the Regulators.
The businessman was formally accused for violating the Securities law accordingly with the US legislation.
The U.S authorities didn't stop just in accusations, the Man was arrested after being formally accused and the CFTC(Commodity futures trading commission) and the Attorney's Office also filed their charges against the businessman, that reinforced the statement to get him in Prison!
One particular thing that is notable in this case is that the businessman and his crew, targeted medical personal and when the investigations go in deeper, can be checked that almost 150 investors putted their money into this fraud, and most of them are Physicians!
But, it's not merely case that only physicians was the initial targeted, but it happened because one of the partners of the Businessman now in jail, was also a physician, and convinced they professionals colleagues to invest in the scheme.
The desire of millionaire returns put them on target, as many of physicians are always busy with their work and I believe they don't have that knowledge in Cryptocurrency believed in this "Christmas story" from the businessman and their partners.
Other thing that let People fall in scams and fraudulent business is the lack of information about what they deal with, other one is "Trust" In a known face that promises to bring the "sky" to you... But most and say most, fall in this because they ambition of fast profit....lookout!!!
Nothing comes that easy, you need work and input on to get rewarded!!!
