This isn't the first time the US Authorities, conduct an auction of seized Bitcoin and the last one Tim Draper secured more than 30,000 BTC in 10 auction blocks.
The new one will be conducted in 4 auction blocks for 2500 BTC, 1000 BTC, 500 BTC and 40.+ BTC and the bidders wishing to participate will need to deposit $200,000 to be able to enter.
The auction bidders will have to register until Feb.12 and Feb.13 they will be contacted by email to let them know if they was accepted to be part of the auction and be possible to secure those BTC.
Maybe this year Tim Draper will also participate and have a chance to grab more bitcoins, but am pretty sure that this is a good opportunity to grab those assets in the auction.
To mention that most of the seized BTC are part of the defunct Silk To dark market and other part was seized in 2018.
