It's a relief to the association to see one more giant joining their project of global stablecoin, as the recent developments concerning associates was more to withdraws than being part of it.
Shopify the Giant E-commerce Canada based platform joined the Libra stablecoin project. In a recent statement in a blog post, the firm announced that will be part of the project backed up by Facebook to work as one, and build a better payment Network, that will enable merchant and consumers to make money more accessible worldwide!
This could be a game changer to the stablecoin project, as Shopify has some major size and influence in online services connecting people who sell (merchants) and buyers (consumers), it's also notable that Shopify offer merchants to accept crypto via alternative payment methods such BitPay, CoinPayments, Coinbase Commerce and GoCoin, the Shopify experience will be useful to the propagation and dissemination of the Libra global stablecoin.
It's the first positive news from the Libra stablecoin project this year that since the announcement in 2019 faces some resistance from regulators, Government that costed some of their big associates to withdraw from the association, but with this new development seems that Libra is still Alive and ready to secure their space in the market!
