The Libra Association backed by the Giant Media Company Facebook hired former Director of Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (finCEN) as new General counsel. The new "heavyweight" from Libra will be the first General Counsel from the Association and have an extense curriculum who also worked as Director of the Treasury Department's Office of foreign assets Control (OFAC), with experience in compliance and anti financial crime in public and private sector.
Robert Werner Full habilities and curriculum can be read on the website of the Libra.org and they are up to something great with this hiring.
Libra Association withdraw from some partners in the past claimed that one of their reasons to left the Global stablecoin was non clarity from KYC and KYC compliance that was absent from the project.
I believe that with the new and first General Counsel will be a more value on the project. He knows the benefit to have a project with compliance with law guidelines, and from now on the ambition of Libra to have a global project with no kyc mandatory will be extinguished.
Libra Association recently added 3 more partners and a new CEO and seems to work hard on the background to have it released as soon possible.
The project also changed the whitepaper to allow Libra stablecoin to interact more with CBDC (central bank digital currency) and be a composite for this various currencies! I believe the coming days will be more appellative to the project based on blockchain.
