I believe that many bitcoin enthusiasts have heard about the "Bitcoin Pizza day" but not everyone knows the really story behind it! Let's get back 10 years and try to explain why May 22 is considered the Pizza Day!

On May 22, 2010 Bitcoin was just nearly 2  years on market and that time nothing was getting paid or the asset was used for any kind of payments online or offline, when Laszlo Hanyecz, a programmer decided to give it a push using some of his coins to order 2 large Papa John's Pizzas for 10,000 BTC, worth at the time $30 and with that move give a value and representing the 1st time BTC was used to purchase a physical product!

First before he ordered the pizzas he posted   a thread on Bitcoin forum mentioning that he would pay 10,000 BTC for a person who could brought to him two pizzas self made or ordered for him. The order was to be delivered personally so he could pay in BTC.

All those words and intentions called someone attention that  contacted Laszlo and the order of two pizzas successful delivered and paid with 10,000 BTC.

That move was the first experiment in real world for payments using cryptocurrency and 5 days later the price of Bitcoin started to fly. 

Let's just don't analyze the price of the two pizzas in values of today represent more than $90 million, but with the contest of the year! That was the first usecase Bitcoin had on the time and opened a world of decentralized finances and today the world can't live with Bitcoin!
