the selection Jepeck ran a super race at Sandown Park at 18/1. What a strange racehorse he is. Gave his all. Flew the second last fence before refusing at the final fence when still in contention. Eclair Surf was well backed and won as favourite at 5-2.

14 runners and 3 reserves entered for a 1 mile handicap at Dundalk (Polytrack) at 6.30.
Today's Contenders
Sister Lola ran very well last time from a wide draw. That was a considerable improvement on what she had shown previously over 1 mile. Fair chance of landing the odds, this 4yo filly by Slade Power makes some appeal at 4/1.
Lady Andaz wears first time blinkers and is stepped up to a mile in a bid for success with Kieran P Cotter. Previously with John Gosden and now 0 from 8 races. 1 mile may suit better than six furlongs but she's had chances in recent races and failed to deliver.
Miracles In May and King Lenox are both reserves. Miracles In May is out again quite soon after a disappointing run here last time and preference is for King Lenox. Nicely drawn; wears first time cheekpieces and drops back to a 1 mile trip. 4 years old he ran three times here for the stable over further in November and may be better for the break. Third reserve, he looks unlikely to make the starting line-up however.
Neyland has looked very useful in recent races but the mare faces a tough task from the outer stall here.
Poetic Choice is considered too. Ten years of age now but has won 4 of 44 AW starts, including wins at 1 mile here off marks of 74, 72 (2016) and 64 (2018). Returned to action in January after a very long break and ran moderately well finishing fifth of 14. Must improve on that performance but has often improved for a run in the past. Jockey change is a little worrying but off a mark of 47 looks the value bet at odds of 14/1 across the board overnight. Win bet.
