Continuing from, 20 Years of Ugochill Music Part 1 (Free Album - Friends)
First years of the new millennium were very exciting and creative years. In the 1990s was already becoming clear that digital music, personal computers armed with awesome software and internet revolution would change the scape of music business for ever.
It was obvious to me that tools are being given that give opportunity to many artists to create and produce and promote own or other artists work without needing anything or anyone, but some equipment, dedication, study, effort and internet connection. No need to run after money, after managers, after producers, after studios.
It was always such hassle. And always lacking this or that.Always limitations.
Suddenly there was light at the end of the tunnel.
I did not waste time, knowing that chance, that me and my friends would ever get hold of some serious money, studio time or music business environment was very very small.Home studio music and video production and independent promotion became my main goals. And serious time was given in order to develop all of those skills, recording, learning through study and trial and error, building internet presence, networking with people, making websites, videos, banners, the whole deal.
So I went from 4 track tape recorder, to first PC 486 with soundblaster and Atari for midi, to ProTools Mbox with Pentium III :)..Being aware that I'm fortunate to know and be friends with so many, cool and talented artists from Amsterdam and around the world, sharing same passion for music.Who had nothing against to make music with me at my place.
Much music was made with many different people. It sounded better and better and culmination of that period was Ugochill debut album Theory of Relaxivity.
Album was finished in 2006-2007 but independent distribution was still nothing that can be compered with today standards.Options were few. Those were MySpace and iTunes days.
Finally in 2008 we heard about new distribution companies offering to place music from independent artists on to iTunes. In this case company was Songcast and album Theory of Relaxivity was put together and released on iTunes, on 1.08.2008.
Years later in 2017 when I changed distribution company, album was unfortunately pulled. It was weird for me to rerelease it again.Instead album is posted on to Bandcamp in its original form. While most of the tracks were added onto compilation Home (10 years) that was released instead under new distribution deal. But more about that will be said later.

Hailing from a variety of Eurocapitals, Ugochill exercise their wide spectrum of musical credentials on this excellently produced album. It’s one of those records that stubbornly refuses to be pigeon-holed but conjures up at different moments vivid images from the whole gamut of rock’s history and styles.
