European Union delays crypto regulation again.

Back in November 2022 the European Union was supposed to vote on cryptocurrency regulation. The regulation is called Markets in Crypto Assets (Mica) https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/SPEECH_22_7529 .  In November, it was delayed until February 2023. Recently it was delayed until April 2023.

This European regulation, in my opinion will be a very positive happening for cryptocurrency in the long run. It will provide rules and guides for investors, exchanges, and developers. I know there is this idea that the old system is bad, and an unregulated cryptocurrency is good. I don't believe it, but do believe a healthier system will benefit cryptocurrency.

I am not an expert in what MiCA will do. I hope it is effective and comprehensive enough to allow cryptocurrency to grow, that it will provide protections for buyers, and that it will help the US get it's act together and not pick and choose to harm and attempt to destroy certain coins and tokens (XRP) and champion and ignore others (Bitcoin and Ethereum).

I am hopeful, that if passed it will provide a long term boon for the market. There are a lot of indications that the next bull run is already starting. I believe more good and healthy things for cryptocurrency to come along. This will ensure the next bull run does come. However, we need to continue to build trust in cryptocurrency in general after a brutal exposure of criminals and gross negligence in the space that was exposed in 2022.

I for one and looking forward to the future, I believe the markets will be kind to those who are buying in the past few months.

Cryptocurrency is a fascinating idea, one that has many confused, scared and dismissive of the concept. However, it also is intriguing and likely a large part of the future.
