Cryptocurrency: FTX exchange may restart?

Wow!

That was my first thought when I heard the news that the disgraced FTX exchange my restart. Now, the current CEO was apparently talking about having all options on the table, and being willing to explore those options, one of them being a return of the exchange.

Here is one article talking about it in more detail: https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/ftx-cryptocurrency-jumps-35-ceo-john-ray-bankrupt-crypto-exchange-restart

My question is this. Who would ever use FTX again? If you would use it again, WHY?  I know that the fraudster SBF will not be running it, but why wouldn't they just shut it down once the creditors and investors a paid out? part of the ongoing discussion seems to be some people think there is a viable business there. I think there is no doubt that there is the potential for a viable business. However, why would you use FTX as that business? To much baggage in my opinion, but I am not a financial or business wizard either.

Sometimes, there is too much baggage and bad history to go back to an ex, or in this case an FTX.

One good thing for owners of the FTT token, a FTX token was that it spiked 32% on this news. Good for a short term bump for investors. https://decrypt.co/119586/ftx-token-ftt-pumps-new-ceo-exchange-revived

Would you use FTX if it was revived?

Cryptocurrency is a fascinating idea, one that has many confused, scared and dismissive of the concept. However, it also is intriguing and likely a large part of the future.
