Earlier today Coinbase made a request from the judge overseeing their SEC legal battle.
Apparently, Coinbase made a legal request to the judge that the SEC lawsuit against them being dismissed. Here is an article detailing it: https://www.reuters.com/legal/coinbase-asks-us-federal-judge-dismiss-secs-lawsuit-2023-08-04/
Also, today, news broke that Coinbase's revenue was better than the estimates had predicted. See article here: https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/crypto-exchange-coinbases-revenue-falls-201432791.html
I find both of these things interesting. Is Coinbase bluffing? Or do they hold all of the cards? I wonder, but they continue to be publicly very confident in the case vs the SEC.
I believe because there is proof they have been trying for over a year to get the SEC to provide some guidance they win the lawsuit in the long run.
Now, who knows what these judges with political agendas will do in the short term. My guess is the case is not dismissed. However, if it is then cryptocurrency will skyrocket in the short term.
