I have been thinking about this crypto winter of our discontent. If you look past the current downtrend, look past the emotions, you will see a bright future.

Now, as I have been thinking about the post for the past few days (yes even though it is short, it was thought out) I have come to realize why this current downtrend does not make sense.  Either that, or crypto is really worthless and a ponzi scheme.

Hear me out. Think about these factors:

1. The Ripple case was in crypto's favor overall.

2. Crypto ETF's have been, and will continue to be approved.

3. The United States government (not a big fan of government intervention on a grand scale) is working on and will pass what appears to be sensible legislation. This provides legitimacy to crypto previously unseen.

4. We have a pro-crypto president.

5. The country is becoming safer by the actions of the president. Crime is down in most major cities. Now, I am not writing this to be political, and am not in favor or out of favor with how it is being done. Just pointing out the facts of the results of the current administration's policy.

6. Crypto is too mainstream now to fail. Opinion based on relative truth of the matter. It is everywhere in major financial institutions.

7. The economy is solid, and growing.  

Now, you can disagree with these points, but I think they are so obvious that they may not be obvious. Emotions sometimes lie to us.  You don't have to like the truth for it to be true.

Now, I am not writing that to lecture, just to make a point. 

Finally, for the last point of the second paragraph. If I am wrong about those seven points, this current crypto winter is not due to negative sentiment as I suspect, and it would in fact be due to crypto being a Ponzi scheme. I do think emotions allow people to overlook those points, and there are others that I may not be seeing.
