Well, one of the world's greatest investors, if not the greatest investor of all time spoke these words. He was referring to cryptocurrency.  

As I am new to this whole idea, and am slowly warming to investing more and more for the long term. This quote by Warren Buffet scares me a bit. Here is an article outlining his thoughts: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/come-bad-ending-one-since-120000331.html

From what I gathered from the article, it seems he finds no value in cryptocurrency, that there is nothing tangible. This is something I have been thinking and have written about in previous posts. (No I am not comparing myself to Warren Buffet).  I like the idea of something tangible, something you can build upon. As a recent post I wrote asked the question "is Bitcoin a shitcoin?" Mr. Buffet apparently thinks so.  

He seems to describe what I have read a lot about, which is "the greater fool theory." Are we only hoping that some other fool will pay more for our cryptocurrency than we paid for it to make a profit and just transfer the problem to them, or are we on to something? Is cryptocurrency as sham? Or is it something Mr. Buffet just doesn't understand in an everchanging world?  I am beginning to believe the latter, but am still a bit weary. I wish I could pull the trigger and buy a few Bitcoin today, but I can't due to I can't risk losing that much of my savings, and my wife would not have it.  I wish I could get myself to pull the trigger on buying a few hundred Solana, but I can't justify it. I think today's Solana rally is going to end with new lows by the end of the FTX drama.

If it does come to a bad ending, I will not lose much as I am still in the infancy stage of buying cryptocurrency, but if he is wrong and it is the future, I am in on the ground floor of something amazing.
