Telling a story or creating a funny text is not really my strong point, but I would like to share with you a moment that is quite special and I keep it fondly in my memory. When we are with friends, I believe that any moment can be fun and they are, for me in my life, one of the few happy moments I have or had.
I remember the date to this day, 18/09/2011 was a day when we had a kind of party in the pool of the condominium where I live, of course at that time I had a lot more friends to have fun with and do some crazy fun things. I was 20 years old, that was the average if I can say so for everyone there, between about 18 and 25 years old, a group excited for a Sunday with drinks, swimming pool and football.
So far so good, apart from the part where we started drinking and got out of control, it was crazy in itself, because from what I remember, there were a lot of people in the pool that day and to begin with, as everyone got more Drunk, we started taking off our shirts and jumping into the pool. Then you ask me what's funny about that? Well, we had a little bit of everything, as a circle of friends should be:
- A pumped-up, ripped friend with no shirt who attracts the attention of all women.
- Some chubbier ones showing all that wonderful round body.
- And I had my whole body full of hair, which people used to call me Tony Ramos, panda, koala, bear, hairy whale, among other affectionate nicknames.
At that time, in 2011, everything was so cool, we could use nicknames without fear of being canceled or being criticized. I remember there were some girls in the pool that we didn't know, so our chubby friends ran and jumped in the pool and everyone kept saying “Look at the whale”, “stop jumping, it's going to take all the water out of the pool” and we were all having fun, because each one was more excited than the other.
Well, other really fun moments were, like, everyone had to bring their glasses to drink, bring something to eat and everything, but we got to such a bad point that people started to lose their glasses, there was a friend of mine who put the glass in the bathroom and only found it later, then the guy drank juice and it was orange, ok, then everyone started saying it was pee, the crazy guy believed it and spat it all out and hit another colleague of ours, bro, it was crazy haha. 🤣
Then he was like: “I can't believe I drank pee, bro” and since everyone was so crazy, we didn't even say it was a joke, we kept putting pressure on him haha, if we joke around he's still questioning whether it was pee or not.
Another fun moment was a friend of ours who liked a girl who also lived in the condominium, as he was brave because of the drink he went to confess to her, the funniest thing is that it started with him talking to her and biting the iron fence that had around the court. Well, no one knows why, but we laughed and couldn't take it anymore.
After that, we told them to get out of there and go to some other place where there was nothing for our friend to bite, so he picked up a piece of grass from the ground and gave it to the girl, saying that it was a flower and that he liked it. Seriously, if you're drunk, don't declare yourself to someone, being squealed after squeaks.
Finally, after all, we played football and well, there was only a professional player, I believe the best player on the field was the ball, because people were all dizzy and had no idea what they were doing, which was a real mess. Towards the end, there was a moment when people who were well (hadn't been drinking) arrived to play and then we even separated into teams: one of the drunks and the other of the sober ones.
I was on the drunk team and we won! 🤣
Today I just miss these moments, which, as many say, are unique and never come back. The meaning of joy was to live those fractions of time of fun and madness that then, with the arrival of more and more responsibilities, we realize will never come back.
I still have it in my mind that day, how good it was, how I could go back and do it again. Despite all this nostalgia, I am eternally grateful for that day back in 2011, which gave me so much joy, laughter and laughter.
