Why hellooo there!
Investment scams. Boooo...
Yes scammers typically don't have anything more than maybe one or two of your favorite stuffed animals.

They have your furry lifeless friend hostage and at gunpoint but remember!
They don't technically have a garsh dang thing!
Only they, the scammers, have the ability to mess with your emotions if "you" let them.
Scams are not nice or pretty for anyone but the scammers themselves as we all know.
On that note too, please "do not" invest with me! But please do read carefully.
The title of this post was just obviously click bait and I apologize for doing this to you but...

There is something happening now more so than ever that needs to be called out for a second.
In hopes that it catches the attention of at least one reader that this may help prevent travesty for them.
Hopefully for many!
"I HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE YOU LOTS OF SCHMECKLES!"
So again, do NOT invest with me, or us, or whatever you want to call me. Just don't call me Shirley.
It is Christmas Eve and we should all be ignoring these scammers that have ramped-up last minute for the holiday season.
So to that I will keep this post short so we can get back to spiking the Egg Nogs!

If you have shown any sort of interest in cryptocurrency or investing and you have social media of any kind. Odds are there is already a scammer who has looked at your profile. Or worse, they made their way to your inbox or commented on a few of your posts.
Here are a few Red Flags to look out for when online spending your coins:
- If it is too good to be true, 99.9% of the time it is because it is a scam. This is a Golden Rule!
- They reach out to you first
- They seem real and not like a robot. This is because they are real once they need to be!
- Social Media profile is new with little to no content
- If they have followers or friends, they are typically all Male or include other fake accounts they have created to help scam people
- Typically female profiles are the most successful scam set ups using cat-fishing techniques
- All they want is your moneyyy
- They advertise themselves as Veterans who know how to flip your investment money quickly
- They can be impatient and will test your patience too
- Make promises that they themselves and/or their team can make you lots of money if you're willing to invest
- If speaking to them in English, they often times make grammatical errors. The most common I personally see tend to be this one . Did you see it ? If you can't see it, look closer at what is being written here . There is a space before the period at the end of every sentence . This doesn't happen often as they avoid periods altogether but it does happen often enough for any trained eye to know who they are actually dealing with .
- Reverse image searching photos usually leads to the actual owner of those photos. Tread lightly if you go this deep! Scammers often make up stories just in case would be victims try to call them out.
- When talking to "Invest with us!" candidates, they dodge many of your questions or do not have any attentive nature in the conversation you are trying to have with them. In other words, it doesn't feel like you have any control over the conversation like you normally would when speaking to any normal human being. News flash here, they are not normal people, they are scammers! No big deal or nothin'.
- They try to "pull heartstrings" by scamming your emotions. For example, a scammer will open up about themselves telling you they have no friends or that someone close to them just died recently. Very recently usually. After that it usually turns into a conversation about investing with them all of a sudden. Super crude and tacky! Sadly a trick many people still fall for these days.
Tried to keep it short folks sorry!!!
Really do hope this helps though. Not exactly proud of how much I am experienced in the field of people being scam artists for a living. My sources to check out though! My resources are from many places both in my professional career and past experiences growing up online. Additionally, I am involved in many cybersecurity projects around the globe to help raise awareness and steps for prevention. Of course, in anything that I write here I hope that it will always be read with an open-mind but also extreme criticism. Nothing is more constructive than this can be!
Thanks a ton for reading and stay safe out there people!
Respectfully,
Trevor Balthrop
