Akon has finalized the agreement for building Akon City in Africa as the Senegal government gives a green signal to Akon.
The famous rapper and singer, Akon is finally allowed to build a city in Senegal that would be a crypto powered city in Africa.
Akon has shared this news on Twitter and in his Tweet says that I am looking forward to hosting you there in the future.

Akon City will cover 2000 acres of land
This new city of Africa will cover almost 2000 acres of land. This land was given by the president of Senegal Macky Sall as a gift to Akon in 2018.
The construction of Akon city will begin in the month of March and will be completed within phases during the next ten years. Apart from this, a hundred-percent renewable energy will be used to run this city.'

Akon City economy will base on “Akoin Cryptocurrency”
The entire economy of Akon City will be based on the digital currency of Akon known as Akoin Cryptocurrency. Apart from this, all the trades will be done using this digital currency.
Akoin cryptocurrency was announced by the rapper in the year 2018. According to the Akoin website, there will be an Akoin foundation as well.

Blockchain and Crypto could be the savior of Africa
While making the announcement of Akoin cryptocurrency, Akon said that Blockchain and crypto could be the savior of Africa. He said that the crypto industry is very crucial for the development of Africa. He stated:
I think that blockchain and crypto could be the saviour for Africa in many ways because it brings the power back to the people. Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology offer a more secure currency that enables people in Africa to advance themselves independent of the government.
Now, Akon has received the green signal from the Senegal government and will soon start its construction.
