I thought I would take the opportunity to show you guys how to set up your Metamask in order to be able to get your Ethereum PoW now after the merge is done.
How to set it up
All you need to do is to follow these simple steps. And you will be able to add the new Ethereum PoW network to your Metamask. And I would assume any other wallet that functions in a similar way. But if you are unsure of it all then you can always just wait. =)
In your Metamask wallet, go ahead and click the "Add Network" button in the menu where you switch between networks.
And yes I have already added it myself, for those of you with eagle eyes
Now you will be taken to a webpage where you will need to fill out some information. And what you need to fill out is as follows.
ETHW Mainnet Info
- Network Name: ETHW-mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://mainnet.ethereumpow.org
- Chain ID: 10001
- Currency Symbol: ETHW
- Block Explorer URL(Optional): https://mainnet.ethwscan.com
And now you should be able to access any ETHW you have in the wallet.
And if you are a crypto miner, you should also be able to mine ETHW on several pools like 2Miners. But you will have to check with them for the exact info.
In case you're wondering how the price action is looking for ETHW. Nothing not to be expected there. =(
