Now the holidays are coming to an end and, since prevention is better than cure, here are six useful tips for not returning stressed from holidays ... because yes, sometimes you would need a holiday back from your holidays eh eh!
1. REMEMBER THAT IT'S ALWAYS HOLIDAY
The holiday is not the remedy for all ills, but a period to devote to rest and to do something different than usual. It doesn't have to be the only time of year when your life makes sense.
Learn to find moments of "vacation" throughout the year Plan some weekend break or a Sunday trip out of town, do some regular physical activity and even allow yourself time for a walk after dinner.
If time permits, sometimes spend your lunch break outdoors, perhaps in a park, listening to some music <or reading a few pages of a book.
In short, you have to find a way to disconnect a little even without having to buy a plane ticket.
2. FIND A HOBBY
Use the holidays to experience things you've long wanted, an interest, a hobby, a particular activity and find a way to continue this activity even when you get home.
Many hide behind the excuse of running out of time to do nothing and complain about how stressed they are. Don't do the same.
If it makes you feel good and interests you, you can find the time to do it, it just becomes a matter of organization. The mind does not need long pauses, but every now and then it has to disconnect.
If you regularly interrupt your routine with something that distracts and relaxes you, you learn to use the resources you have more wisely and to feel good for longer and longer times.
3. RESUME GRADUALLY
If possible, try to pick up gradually, this means ending the holidays a few days before returning from work. Going from 0 to 100 overnight would be traumatic for anyone.
Try to readjust, especially sleep, to different rhythms from those of the holiday and, if necessary, get help from supplements or natural remedies. A restful sleep is the basis of psychophysical well-being.
4. STAY OUTDOORS
Sunlight and fresh air are good for the mind and body. It is not mandatory to be outside only in summer. You can take a nice walk even in the middle of winter, as long as you cover yourself well.
The contact with nature, away from shopping malls and artificial situations, can give back some of that well-being that you value so much during your vacation.
5. GIVE YOURSELF A SMALL TRANSGRESSION
It is true, as some say, we were born to suffer, but it is also true that between one suffering and another we can insert something beautiful.
There are foods that give pleasure to the palate without bothering your personal trainer, just as there is, from time to time, the concession of some small transgression.
If you learn to indulge in a bit of "greedy" pleasure during the year, you will feel less of the need to identify the time of well-being only in the holiday.
6. MAKE A BUDGET
Think of the return as a new beginning and choose what you want to bring on this "new journey" and what you want to leave behind.
If there are situations that make you difficult and that you can't avoid, make sure there are others that compensate for that discomfort. Kind of like small rewards you give yourself for the heavy things you face every day.
Well these are some tips that I have found here and there for the network and that I hope they can help, for example it is very useful for me to return from holidays a few days before and gradually resume as it has become fundamental to return to make a budget and a plan of ' action for the new working season.
