So,
What has changed?
Not much really.
Smart Contract still functions
100 % uptime no hacks/ or exploits to date
Hex has recently crossed the 3 year mark on December 3rd
Current Metrics (According to Staker App)
Stakers 116,134
1.76 Billion Staked for an average staking length of 6.73 Years ( Unheard of stats in DeFi )
9.71% of the Supply is staked (which is why when staking beyond the average length can get you an estimated APY( in hex terms) of 37.99%
* if staked at or above the average Duration *
Things to Note:
Hex has layers and moving parts.
-T-shares and T share rate simulate compounding interest
-for every day that passes the amount of Hex it takes to secure a T Share increases as well
-The shares determine your yield ( in hex terms) The more you have , the bigger your slice of the pie ( in regards to penalties for people who endstake early)
*T- Shares will become Deflationary over time because by design the system makes it harder for you to hold a Share position as time goes by.
in short, you're rewarded for paitence.
(staking is optional)
(i repeat... OPTIONAL )
I should actually begin a Hex Guide for others to read
to help clear up a lot of the confusion surrounding it.
