Sometimes I wish I could remember who I was before the Citadel, before they took me into the chamber of memories, took away my past and left me as a shell of a man. No friends or family, nothing but a vessel to pour their ideals and ambitions into. Very lofty ambitions indeed, ambitions that I now share and will progress with every fiber of my being until the day my flesh gives out beneath me. And even then…

I must have been exceptional before the chamber, I’ve seen the commoners try to grasp some of the simpler concepts of our technologies and it never ends well for them. The fact that I was able to comprehend the complex mathematical formulas and abstract diagrams without much difficulty at all tells me that the clay that was used to mold this body was made of something unique and not readily available. Still, as exceptional this body was before the chamber, it was nothing compared to what it has become with the aid of the Imperium.

The range of implants and upgrades available was stunning. Each giving their own unique benefit to their holders, from incredible perceptory improvements to endowing supernatural abilities to those possessing them. I knew immediately that the Inferno ocular implant was exactly the augment I needed. The ability to detect and follow the flow of energy and see the most optimal route through circuitry and biology and to be able to  manipulate heat like a maestro orchestrating a divine opera of fire. This is my purpose, to refine the glorious technologies of the imperium and push forward. Always forward. For the imperium.
