SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE

Oh wow, this is perhaps one of the best looking Humble Bundle drops in quite some time! It definitely has games in it that I would have purchased... and there are a few that are quite intriguing and new to me. Actually, just looking at it, I already have two of them... and they are really good ones! So, this might be a good time to drop in and try out the Humble Bundle Choice package... even if you are only dropping in to pick up some of these great games at a much lower price than you would even at Steam sales!

Leading the package is the Triple A starfighter simulaton, Star Wars Squadrons. I saw this when it launched, and it has been on my wishlist... but I have just held off as I'm more into games like X Universe for the space-flyer simulations. But Squadrons looks to scratch that very very old Wing Commander itch... I wonder if it has FMV scenes as well? If it does... well, this could very well be a winner!

Next up is the pretty damn awesome Phoenix Point! It is an XCOM style game that was developed by the developer of the ORIGINAL XCOM... yes, that humble little isometric game from the 90s that completely blew my mind back then! Phoenix Point is definitely a worthy spiritual successor to XCOM genre... it is more in line with the original XCOM gameplay and vision, but it is less slick than the Firaxis remake. I love both versions of the XCOM evolution, but I do find that the Phoenix Point version is perhaps a little bit more towards my taste... that said, I love XCOM so much as well! This version of Phoenix Point is the Year One version, the one that released after a year of beta testing on Epic Store users. Since then, there have been quite a few DLCs that have launched. I would just hang out and wait until they go on sale or get bundled together, the vanilla game is already pretty deep and awesome already!

Call of the Sea is another game that I've had on my wishlist for a little bit... a sort of walking puzzle adventure indie game with an impressive list of awards including BAFTA nomination, this is the sort of game that defies the testosterone stereotype of gaming. I love these sorts of games, but they do require you to sit down and savour the atmosphere and story. Perhaps this might be a good fit for the Steam Deck?

Gamedec, isometric cyberpunk RPG? Yes please! I don't think I had heard of this game, but just reading the description and looking at the videos... well, this does have me hooked! It does look quite beautiful, and I'm really hoping that this is one that will be fully verified for the Steam Deck. Again, it looks like that this would be a great travelling game!

Pumpkin Jack... a 3D platformer... hmm, I'm not really into these sorts of games. However, the idea of playing as the evil Pumpkin Lord and bashing the hell out of the forces of Good... well, it is more than a little bit intriguing. Plus, it does look quite pretty!

Siege Survival is a game that I saw a while back and I was quite interested in it... but avoided purchasing it as I've just got too many games unplayed. So, I was hoping that it would eventually show up on a Humble Bundle... and yay, it has! So, this is a bit of an interesting one... you seem to be taking charge of the civilian resource and supply side of a castle/town under siege... and as we all know, logistics wins wars. This is pretty cool... and I'm really wanting to try it out. I do wonder if it this a full PC game, or a laptop one... or a Deck one?

I Am Fish... oh man, how can you not be completely taken by this game! I don't think that anything I write will be able to adequately describe how cute and fun this looks! I'm definitely going to be doing this one with my kids... It looks hilarious! Take a look at the videos and I dare you to say that you aren't at least a little bit intrigued!

Superhot: Mind Control Delete... This is the latest entry into the pause-time game of Superhot. The interesting mechanic where time on runs when you move. I've been meaning to play the original for ages... and now that I've looked, I already have the original and this last version (the middle one is the VR version I think?). Anyway, I had noticed that this game was already fully verified for the Steam Deck and so, I've already loaded it on to see how it plays on the portable PC!
