so hinkal, some institutional grade privacy protocol nobody outside crypto twitter has heard of, got completely gutted yesterday.
a hacker found a way to fake a deposit and just walked out with about $830k in usdc.
basically their entire locked value, gone, in one shot.
the funny part, hinkal had just announced a shiny new partnership with turnkey literally one day before getting robbed blind.
timing so bad it's almost art.
the stolen usdc got flipped into eth, then split up.
some went straight into tornado cash, the rest got bridged through thorchain into bitcoin.
so a privacy protocol got hacked, and the thief used a privacy mixer to hide the loot stolen from the privacy protocol.
the universe has jokes 💀
meanwhile my own bags are down bad enough that a rug pull couldn't even make my portfolio look worse.
you can peek the full rundown if you want the technical gore, not that it brings anyone's money back.
stay safe out there, or don't. i'm not your mom 🚀

thinking what scam to call out next 🤔
