Energi Project is developing a new complimentary token to be used alongside it's main NRG coin.

After the release of Energi Gen 3, the NRG coin moved to its own block-chain separate from Ethereum which removed it from the ETH ecosystem. A "wrapped" or tokenized NRG that is on the Ethereum platform, would allow the coin to be traded on Uniswap as well as interact with other projects on the Ethereum chain. TommyWorldPower, founder of the project, hopes that the release of the new token will " ... [provide] more liquidity than we ever had with any exchange."

Tommy emphasizes that the coins will be kept 1:1 so there is not increase in overall supply. At first you will only be able to buy the token and eventually the token will be ready for sell as well. The final project will allow you to buy tokenized NRG on ETH Uniswap and transfer the token to the NRG chain and vice versa. There will still be a 5,000 confirmation delay that the NRG developers say increases security. (Read more about NRG security here)

With the upcoming Energi-X trading platform, this new token will be a great asset to the NRG family. Maybe NRG will have more integrations with the ETH platform after the release of this new token. This will be an interesting project to keep your eyes on in the future.
