Ripple is going to provide a plethora of features that will make it possible for its consumers in the banking and fintech industries to store and manage digital tokens. Ripple is in the process of establishing a new business operation under its Ripple Custody subsidiary, which is part of a larger initiative to expand into the custody sector.
Preconfigured operational and policy settings, connection with XRP Ledger, risk monitoring for anti-money laundering compliance, and a redesigned user interface that is simpler to use and interact with are some of the features that are included in this package.
As a result of this step, Ripple will be able to expand its operations outside its primary payment settlement sector. This is also the first significant move that Ripple has taken toward unifying its custody solutions under a single brand, Ripple Custody, and competing with a multitude of other companies that are already offering goods and services on this market. Some of these companies include Coinbase, Gemini, and Fireblocks.
Ripple made the announcement that Ripple Payments will be available in Brazil earlier in the month of October. Ripple's managed end-to-end payments solution will be used by Mercado Bitcoin, the biggest bitcoin exchange in Latin America, which will be the first client in Brazil to utilize this service. During the course of this month, Ripple also made the announcement that it has been granted clearance in principle by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to extend its services from the Dubai International Financial Centre.
