For some reason, it really annoys me when some bloggers, authors, and aspiring writers leave meaningless comments beneath my articles. I want to educate you and also cry out to them because of it.
They, like any writer, would prefer that their articles not be associated with pointless remarks. Genuine and important writers on the other hand.
There is an overwhelming amount of meaningless chatter and content on the internet these days. Such remarks are beyond my comprehension.
Reason being, I would really appreciate it if readers would take the time to leave thoughtful comments on my articles and share short anecdotes related to the topics I cover.
Due to the proliferation of clickbait and irrelevant material online, sites like Medium have opened up a new revenue stream for writers with our level of expertise.
After five years of generating money online, I’m sick of reading ignorant comments beneath my posts.
This is relevant to more than just Medium. I am sick of considering and removing absurd remarks since I create material for a lot of venues.
There should be a certain level of comedy, even if some online trolls like dark humor.
Whatever the case may be, readers should refrain from posting meaningless remark beneath articles and instead provide helpful feedback or praise to the writers.
Instead of negative criticism, use constructive criticism
It can take new writers days or even months to find the right topic for their pieces. Like, just writing about this subject needed information that took two months to gather. (What I’m writing is based on myself.)
I also try to support and help every new writer who joins the site. I usually say nice things about or back the stories under their titles. By sending a private message, I sometimes give helpful feedback. Today, it’s a fact that negative comments, especially about a person, can take away your life. Talking to someone is always a good idea.
