Mubadala Capital and Kaio Explore On-Chain RWAs

Over $430 billion in private equity, credit, real estate, and alternative strategies are managed by Mubadala Capital.

Mubadala Investment Company, an Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, owns it.

Recent attention has focused on the group's digital-asset positioning. According to Bloomberg, Mubadala's Abu Dhabi Investment Council had at least $500 million in BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF in November.

In Tuesday's statement, Mubadala Capital Solutions co-heads Fatima Al Noaimi and Max Franzetti said they want to cooperate with regulatory-aligned infrastructure to explore how tokenization may expand institutional-grade vehicle access.

Kaio has structured tokenized feeder funds for BlackRock, Brevan Howard, and Hamilton Lane.

The company has moved over $200 million in institutional assets onchain and claims Mubadala shows momentum for onchain investment products.

“This launch demonstrates how traditional institutional capital is now scaling onchain,” Kaio CEO Shrey Rastogi remarked.

Mubadala joins a growing group of institutional entities investigating tokenized solutions to reduce operational friction and promote global involvement.

RWA demand in 2025, especially tokenized US Treasurys, rose from $3.9 billion to $8.6 billion, according to CoinShares. As dollar-based rates remain popular, the business anticipates the pattern to continue into 2026.

Infrastructure is changing to accommodate the transformation. Polygon hard forked Wednesday to improve stablecoin and tokenized RWA performance.

Stripe charges 1.5% for $0.0002 On-Chain Stablecoin Transfers

After Stripe stated it would charge businesses 1.5% to move digital dollars that cost fractions of a cent on blockchain networks, stablecoin payment processing sparked significant discussion.

Following its $1.1 billion acquisition of Bridge earlier this year, the firm now offers USD-settled stablecoin payments across Ethereum, Base, and Polygon, with USDC, USDP, and USDG available on its platform.

Critics instantly noted Stripe's fees' large discrepancy from blockchain transaction costs.

Sterling Crispin, a software developer, began the argument by arguing that Base charged $0.000193 in transaction fees, 0.00009% of the transfer amount, for sending $200 USDC, whereas Stripe charged $3.
