After Friday's September employment data beat analysts' predictions, cryptocurrency prices rose early Monday. Bitcoin hit $63,000 Monday.
Bitcoin started October around $60,600, down from $65,600 on Sept. 29. Friday saw $25.6 million in spot bitcoin ETF inflows. Between Oct. 1 and 3, the group lost $361.2 million.
Ethereum rose with the crypto market, returning to $2,470. Ethereum started October below $2,350 after trading around $2,680 in September.
Bitcoin has recovered about 17% from its Sept. 6 low but is still behind its March 14 record high of $73,798. That broke its November 2021 record of $68,990.
The biggest cryptocurrency rose 157% in 2023. Bitcoin is 50% higher this year.
Ethereum hit $2,470 Monday, up 1.8% in 24 hours but 40% behind its 2024 high.
ETH surpassed $4,000 for the first time in 26 months on March 12 at $4,092. No. 2 crypto is well behind its November 2021 top over $4,800.
