“Music is the rythm of the soul!”
Ever heard that quote above? Well you have now. I heard it a certain long time ago and it think it’s just cool.
Music has come a very long way since the ancient days when the first cave man musician dared to play drum beats on a given nice sounding object around him or blow in that exciting animal horn. Whichever came first, chicken or the egg right? Lol. From The cavemans innovative instrument, to pianny classical music, to modern day electronic music, the rhythm of the soul has come a very long way.
Change is inevitable as we all know and humans have always found ingenious ways to change the harsh society we evolved in into a much safer one for us and those who come after us. This is called technology. Technology has permeated every aspect of human life and music has not been left out of great vehicle of progress.
Two recent technologies that are revolutionizing the Information Technology industry and practically every other aspect of our lives are Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Web 3 technology. AI deals with the application of intelligent software and devices to solve problems that usually require high level of intelligence while web 3 is the application of a decentralized storage network known as the blockchain in the creation of a new international network of devices known as web 3.
These two technologies are relatively new and have found a variety of applications in various fields including IT, engineering, medicine and most recently music.
Music? You may ask.
What has crypto and moms robot vaccuum cleaner got to do with with sweet melodies right? I thought worse too, when I stumbled upon a news headline about the application of web 3 AI to music. Crypto is boring and the endless white noise from my moms robot just make me want to kill myself. Those skinny tech weirdos better get their baby hands away from the delicious sounds of Ariana Grande, I thought. Talk about a singing vaccuum cleaner.

Well, if your'e like that too, think less and read more cos that's what I did. Upon further research i discovered a number of companies applying these two recent technologies to revolutionize the music industry. And from what I read, it wasn't a very bad thing after all.
The average modern music software is quite great to use but as the saying goes there's always room for improvement. Even with exciting features like playlists, shuffle, global streaming and advanced mixer boards for decent sound engineering of your phone or laptop, these music player software stills has limitations. A big limitation is that unlike in creating videos, mixing songs still remains an advanced skill best left to well trained DJs and producers, completely isolating most users from the music content space. This is where AI and possibly web 3 technology can play a huge role;
#To democratize music content!

What does this really mean right? Democracy in music? You already hate elections right. Well, don't think about it like that. Think about it like TikTok.
Tik tok is a global video platform with millions of users who easily create video content and post it to a global audience. Unlike modern music platforms, you don't just go on Tiktok to watch videos created by advanced professionals. You can like/share videos to promote them, easily create your own fun videos and earn also when you get many followers to subscribe and view your content.
Imagine something like that in the music space. That'll we be great right?
“Tiktok for music!”
I'm excited already.
Hype asides though, any tech savvy person will observe that Tiktok itself doesn't really need web 3 or AI to do what it does. So why would a Tiktok for music need these two technologies right?
Innovation is the answer. Despite it's great success, Tiktok itself is a centralized company from China which has faced some accusations of being used by the Chinese government to run an advanced Psyop (psychological operation) to dumb down American teenagers who love the platform with ridiculous playful content while Chinese users are fed with very educative content.
This is the major problem with most current IT companies - centralized control that can be used to push agendas.
The current internet is known as web 2. This is the version of the internet which is dominated by private companies with central control. This allows these companies to operate with impunity, easily promoting whatever agenda they wish. This tyranny of web 2 companies gave rise to the idea of web 3 i.e., the decentralized web where blockchain technology is used to create a network that no one owns or controls.
Applying AI and Web 3 in a music platform will allow easy music content generation through AI assistance and free global access and ownership of music content though blockchain technology. This is where idea behind decentralized AI music.
#Top companies creating decentralized AI for music
From my research, there are two main companies I found applying web 3 technology to music and both projects are discussed below.

HAio is a innovative decentralized AI music platform that leverages blockchain technology and artificial intelligence to revolutionize music content. As a software application, HAio enables AI assisted easy music creation and facilitates transparent ownership and monetization of music content as digital assets in the blockchain.
Asides automated music content generation and ownership, HAio software is built as a learning agent which monitors user interaction and uses feedback data from this interaction to train itself from for automated music curation, streaming and rating.
HAio is built on the following four pillars;
1.Multi-Agent AI Architecture HAiO’s AI ecosystem is built on a network of specialized agents that automate and refine every stage of the music value chain.
- Music Agent — AI-generated music creation with real-time tagging. Playlist Agent — Smart curation based on user prompts and preferences.
- Live Agent — Automated live music streaming and event management.
- Social Agent — AI-driven promotion and engagement strategies.
- Recursive Self-Improvement Each AI Agent operates within a feedback-driven loop, enabling continuous evolution without direct human intervention. User interactions, engagement metrics, and AI tagging refinements feed back into the system, allowing for perpetual enhancement.
Web3 Integration & Ownership HAiO utilizes blockchain to tokenize AI-generated music and the AI Agents themselves:
- Agent-Fi: AI Agents can be co-owned via NFT-based fractional ownership.
- Decentralized Monetization: Transparent revenue-sharing through smart contracts.
- User Empowerment: Earn rewards by engaging in playlist curation, music validation, and AI Agent training.
- User-Centric Design We’ve built HAiO with both professionals and casual users in mind, ensuring: Low barriers to entry for new creators. Advanced creative tools for experienced producers. Seamless, intuitive UX with instant AI-powered music generation and curation.
HAio music software is a really solid dig at decentralized AI music.
- Choruz.ai

Choruz web 3 AI music platform leverages cutting-edge AI to generate unique, high-quality music tailored to individual preferences, genres, or moods. With seamless integration into Web3, users can tokenize their creations, access an AI-driven music library, and build dynamic playlists—all while maintaining ownership and control of their digital assets. The system also facilitates fair monetization and community engagement, allowing creators and listeners to earn and exchange value using our native token $CHORUZ.
Unlike traditional platforms, where artists have limited control over their earnings and distribution, this platform gives power back to creators by ensuring full ownership of their content through NFTs. Fans can collect, trade, and even commission unique AI-generated albums, fostering a closer connection between creators and their audience. The platform operates like a Spotify for AI and Web3, where users connect their crypto wallets to stream music and purchase albums directly.
#Fearing a musical Ultron?

A lot of concern has been raised about the dangers of AI especially as it concerns world safety. Even Elon Musk the richest man in the world once described AI as “summoning the demon and hoping you can cast it out”. Remember the words below?
I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to... evolve? With these? These puppets. There's only one path to peace. The Avengers' extinction - Ultron to the Avengers.
That's from the movie Avengers - Age of Ultron. For those who may not be familiar with it, Ultron was a robot built by Iron Man (Tony Stark) one of the Avengers to protect the world, then the AI powered robot turns around and decides to wipe out mankind for robots to take over.
This scenario has been acted out a lot in movies and though they may be some merit to it, there's no need to worry about an AI powered music tool taking over the internet and singing everyone to death. You can rest easy on this one. Though the two software discussed above can generate their own songs, there's not much to fear from them. The technology is pretty tailored towards assisting people generate and own songs not become like a banshee or something. However it rhymes you will not be hearing the Ultron words below from these apps;
I had strings, but now I'm free. There are no strings on me... - Ultron
#Conclusion
The evolution of music content has long been limited by the tyrannical control of private music and IT companies who capitalize on their dominance and centralized control to monopolistically profit off upcoming musicians and streamers. With AI and web 3 technology, music content is facing a radical revolution where music is easily generated, promoted, owned and profited from by the individuals who create and enjoy them. Join the revolution today by checking out the apps discussed.
