Yes I said it out loud, play to earn games really suck! Most of them are not fun and are too focused on trading non fungible tokens or their own crypto tokens instead of improving the gameplay. Most of them require massive amount of money to be pulled into the game before you start earning anything. The best example of it is "Axie Infinity":

Its a game about collecting and battling  with cute creatures (Axies), you build axie armies to fight others. It seems simple and fun, but you have to spend a  shit ton of money to buy any axie that does not suck! Also monetary aspect of the game is way more important for both creators and players.

Actually I know only one P2E game that is fun and even addictive, its called cryptoroyale. Its a browser battle royale type game with very basic rock paper scissors type gameplay. You play as a circle, you collect orbs with different colours which changes your balls colour, one colour beats the other and you fight on a small arena until only one ball survives. This game is actually free to play, you don't have to buy any NFT to start playing. You just link your discord account and you can start earning $ROY !!! But this game has some problems, rewards are small ,but its expected cuz the game is not that popular anymore, playerbase is dying out (on playtoearn.net it was placed at #15 in 2021, number #8 in 2022 and now its at #265) and liquidity pools of ROY are kinda dry. But the game itself is awesome and its actually very playable and even addictive!

Sadly most Play2Earn games are not like that and are just boring.
