Lonely Prospector
Deep in the Yukon
I'm a solitary man
Searching for Hope
With a pick and a pan
Came here with nothing
Working for scraps
Jumped off the train
With a couple of maps
I have saved a few dimes
while learning the trade
I grab a few tools
Pick Pan Shovel and Spade
It's time to set off
Time to explore on my own
Heading out with my donkey
Into the great unknown
Seeking my freedom
In this desolate land
Testing the Veins
In the earth and my hands
Across mighty rivers
Over snow covered peak
A venture not tailored
For the fragile or weak
With the will to succeed
And glimmering eyes
Freedom in Paradise
Is it enough of a prize
In a land that will break you
Elusive fortune awaits
You'll either get lucky
Or meet the Pearly Gates
