Do you guys remember the Honey browser extension? The one that was supposed to find you coupon codes. The one every big player promoted. Well, as you already know, it was just a front for stealing affiliate commissions. In essence, everyone who promoted it fooled themselves because once you make someone install the extension, all the future affiliate commissions from that computer go to the "Honey". Influencers fooled themselves because they failed to do due diligence. Even before the big scam exposé, some people talked about similar apps online. But influencers didn't care. They got money for promoting the scam. Only after they realized they had been fooled did they go full due diligence mode.
The thing is, now most people have forgotten about that incident. Some of them removed the Honey extension and installed alternatives. But I want to ask you, don't you think that same scam can be going on with those extensions too? Just ask the " where the money comes from question. You see, there is no way you gonna make money by telling people all the coupon codes you know. There must be a backdoor program that does the shady stuff behind the scene.
You see, I decided to write this because I saw a new coupon-finding extension being promoted via YouTubers. I suspect it's the same scenario as "honey," they just have a different name. I'm not gonna name names here because when that name gets exposed as a scam, they come up with a different name. It's not just the name that is a scam; the whole system is a scam. learn about not just the names of the scams, but learn how they work too. That way, you can make educated decisions and stay away from scams.
Thanks for reading, guys. will talk to you soon.
