Heads up, guys!
Just saw an ad about a cryptocurrency giveaway on YouTube. I knew it was a scam right at the moment I saw it. Knowing it was a scam, my curiosity made me click the ad. The ad opened up as an unlisted video. In the video, they said that if you send some XRP to the given address, they would double it and send you the money back. I checked the comments to see if anyone has raised any flags to warn others. Instead, I saw a number of comments claiming that what the video says is true.
But that's a complete lie. Those commenters are either bots or the scammers themselves trying to mislead people, guys, remember no one gonna give you money for free. They expect something in return. This time you don't have to give any returns because once you send them money, they ain't gonna double it nor will they send your money back. This is a classic money-doubling scam. I've seen more than a dozen of this type of scams in my online money-making journey. Be careful, guys, don't lose your money to scammers. I still don't know how they managed to get past the checks that YouTube does. guess that process is also done by bots or an automated system.
Here's my theory on how scammers do these kinds of scams. They hijack a YouTube channel with many subscribers. (for example, 100000 subscribers) Then they slowly turn that channel to look like an existing business. (A cryptocurrency) Then they make existing videos private and start uploading their own videos. While doing that, they run ads on YouTube to lure people to their scams. They buy comments and engagement. They heavily moderate what people comment and only leave positive comments that help the scam run. That's how scammers run these types of scams, and unsuspecting people sadly fall for that.
So, guys, learn how to identify scams right when you see them.
That's it, guys. will talk to you soon.
