Hello and welcome to all the readers.
The Hundred is a 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and eight women's teams located across England and Wales.
The tournament started on July 22nd. The women's game is played in the afternoon and the men's game is played in the evening on the same pitch
The rules for the game are:
- 100 balls per innings. Whoever scores the most runs wins.
- 25 balls powerplay per team. Two fielders are allowed outside of the 30-yard inner circle.
- The fielding side change ends after 10 balls are bowled
- Bowlers can deliver either five or 10 consecutive balls. The captain decides whether the bowler bowls five or ten consecutive balls.
- Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 20 balls per game.
- Bowling side can take strategic timeout of 2 minutes. The coach is allowed on the ground to give advise during that time.
- The total match lasts for two and half hours. The bowling team is penalised if they don't bowl their 95 balls within the stipulated time. The penalty is one more player has to come inside the 30 yard circle for the remaining balls left.
Women's Final - Oval Invincibles v/s Southern Brave
Southern Brave won the toss and elected to field first
Oval Invincibles scored 121/6 in 100 balls.
In reply, Southern Brave had a very bad start , they lost 3 wickets in the first 10 balls bowled to them. They were 5 down with just 11 runs on board and kept losing wickets
Marizanne Kapp took the first 3 wickets in the first 10 balls bowled. Total 4 wickets in the match
Southern Brave were all out for 73 runs in 98 balls
Oval Invincibles won by 48 runs

Men's Final - Birmingham Phoenix v/s Southern Brave
Birmingham Phoenix win the toss and field first.
Southern Brave scored 168/5 in 100 balls
In reply, Birmingham Phoenix lost the first wicket on the second ball. But then a good third wicket partnership of 56 runs before a run-out. Sloppy running by Livingstone. He was batting brilliantly.
Birmingham Phoenix only managed 136/5 in 100 balls
Southern Brave won by 32 runs

Conclusion:
The tournament was a great success. Lots of entertainment and packed stadiums.
Crowds of all the different ages enjoyed the game and had a good time.
