So I purchased my first bitcoin in 2012 for about $20-30 for one. I was learning about cryptocurrency in general and a friend of mine had got me interested. I wanted to know what crypto could do for me so I created a local bitcoins account and began buying bitcoins for $30 and selling them for $40-45 using different methods. I thought I was making good money then.. can’t believe I never put back several of those coins. I ended up making an account with Circle to purchase and hold my bitcoins. My account was jeopardized when I got a new phone number and sms authentication was my 2FA at the time. I only had like $9.00 in the account so I just went about my life.

Last fall I get a letter from Circle in the mail, after all these years saying they are closing down that part of the company and I needed to verify my identity and claim my remaining crypto balance. Well, what was $9.00 at the time was about 0.3 bitcoin. After all these years I had 0.3 bitcoin in a forgotten account. I ended up messaging my old number and told them they would be receiving a code to login and to send it to me - which they did.

I was able to log in my account and withdraw my $9.00 investment which had accidentally been one of the best investments I’ve ever made.

Now I am currently invested in Endor, DigiByte, Nemesis & ETH. I am hoping to have a positive portfolio by the end of 2021.
