It’s been a while!
While developing quantum resistance for SORA, I stumbled upon an imprint within SHA-256.
I have finally finished decoding all of it, and it turns out that the message can be read as:
“A new era begins in August 2026, from Texas, USA.”
Finding something like this within SHA-256 is quite extraordinary, isn’t it? August 2026, appearing in a cryptographic algorithm from 2001…
Ideas for digital currencies already existed in 2001, so one possible reading is that something resembling the CLARITY Act was already being discussed back then.
To me, it reads as though crypto’s new era begins with the passage of the CLARITY Act as part of the picture. It could even be read as suggesting that the ideas behind CLARITY have been discussed behind closed doors for more than 25 years!
With a message like this, I now expect to be able to disclose how to derive the imprint with confidence.
And no, you don’t need a supercomputer. Once you know the procedure, you can derive it on your own PC.
Now, about quantum computing.
Apparently, heat is a major stumbling block. They have only recently started talking about it: as the number of qubits increases, heat from the wiring that connects them can prevent the system from operating.
So, doesn’t that mean a few hundred qubits may work, but scaling beyond that is still a long way off?
Without those connections, no matter how much quantum entanglement you have, you cannot extract the information—and without that, you cannot use it as a computer. Haha.
But did they really only discover this recently?
Or had they known for years, even while stirring up all that concern about quantum threats to crypto?
That is the sort of suspicion that leaves me feeling uneasy about the whole quantum story.
As far as I’m concerned, we can stop worrying about quantum computing now. Well, that clears things up!
Ah, so it really does begin in Texas.
With that in mind, I’ve revamped everything for SS256, starting with the logo.
I’ll be moving forward with Texas as the inspiration.
