Noise Pollution

By PajeeBear | Silent Whispers - Poetry | 17 Jul 2019

:

How I miss the peaceful nights of the country

All kinds of loud noise has polluted the city

From big dome concert to rap battle in narrow alley

The deafening sound of steel and all other machinery

---

How I miss the crickets chirping the night away

The hush of the wind as the leaves of trees sway

And that hooting owl in the distant river bay

I'd be sleeping and dreaming early without delay

---

How I crave to sit and watch the moonlight ray

Or hear the crackling of camping fire as I lay

I prefer wolves howling than rumors and hearsay

Oh I wish I could have stayed in the country

---
