What is Meditation?

In our modern life, we are benefited a lot from hi-tech materials and means. On the other hands, we are facing with a lot of worries about uncertainties, e.g, how to get a job, how to keep a job in a strong competitive environment...etc. Among all the pressures of life, balancing our mental and material life becomes essential need. Fortunately, there is way to do that with no financial cost, the only requirement is the patience. What is the way? Today I would like to introduce you a simple approach to Meditation in both aspects: theory and practice. What is Meditation? How to practice Meditation effectively in our busy life? Are you ready with me in my coming series of posts about Meditation?

To me, meditation is a process of training mind.  The process can be summarized in 3 steps: 

1. Training mind to recognize or to be aware of what are happening on body and in mind.

2. Training mind to understand how things are happening on body and in mind. 

3. Training mind to act (not to react) to what are happening on body and in mind.
