Bitcoin Cash is brilliantly shown as having a practical use-case in this clever advertisement. The two minute long spot was placed in Córdoba, Argentina on the YouTube platform. The group that produced the ad plans to create a shorter version for local television stations.
Approximately 18.5% of Argentinians own cryptocurrencies.
According to a directory from Bitcoin Cash Argentina, there are over 200 businesses in the country accepting BCH.
Government of Argentina Creates National Blockchain Committee
In an effort to establish a state-level blockchain adoption strategy, the Argentinian government has moved to create a National Blockchain Committee. The intention here is that the committee will promote a cooperative effort between government and blockchain technology for the greater benefit of the country. Specifically, Argentina has acknowledged the importance of cryptocurrencies and their potential to digitally transform the country.
The two areas identified as potential use-cases are auditing government investments of public funds and citizen identification. Argentina has stated that blockchain technology may be useful in avoiding ID forgeries.
