No More Free Netflix for Everyday People

No More Free Netflix for Everyday People

Crypto.com hits again

I almost completely stopped using Crypto.com a while ago. The only reason I still stuck around was for the free Netflix and Spotify they offered for the user who held their CRO token.

Their fees are absurd and if you give me one simple reason to use them I am all ears.

(Their CRONOS is their future I guess – but it is not better than others' L1, so what is the point)

So, what is up?

Simply put no more free Netflix or Spotify, unless you have 40k dollars.

Customers of Crypto.com who activated their Jade Green, Royal Indigo, or Ruby Steel Crypto.com Visa Cards before July 23, 2022, will benefit from the merchant rebate perks (Spotify, Netflix) offered through their Card tier and are subject to existing terms for an additional six months (until 23 January 2023, 15:00 UTC). But hey you will get a miserable 2% return in CRO. (It also takes 1% fees when you transfer funds on your Crypto.com Visa card).

Crypto.com is trying to survive – I do not think it will

Yes. Bear market. They are losing money left and right. They can not afford to offer free services. Good – but with that, they will also lose a majority of their Visa card users. If their CRONOS fails, they will have nothing left. Good luck Crypto.com.
