This is part 3 of a series of in-depth articles on the blockchain company, Morpheus Labs. Part 1 was an overview of the platform and part 2 was an overview of the company. In this article, I'd like to take a deeper look into Morpheus Lab's partnership with Hanwha Dreamplus.
Morpheus Labs CEO Chuang Pei-Han has been very outspoken about the shortage of talent within the blockchain industry. Along with developing its revolutionary platform to simplify blockchain integration, Morpheus Labs is also putting significant resources into improving blockchain education. They've already taken big steps to provide better infrastructure and resources for education and training.
In 2018, Morpheus Labs announced a strategic partnership with Hanwha Dreamplus. The first goal in their alliance would be to collaborate in developing the curriculum for a joint blockchain academy.
One Of The Best-Kept Secrets In Blockchain?
Hanwha is a huge conglomerate out of South Korea. In 2018, they were ranked #244 in the Fortune Global 500. The Global 500 is a ranking of the largest companies in the world based on revenue.
For those not familiar with the Asian-based company, like myself when I first heard the news, Hanwha's revenue is on a similar scale to Cisco Systems, AIG, Nationwide, Morgan Stanley, and Lockheed Martin.

The scale of the partnership between Morpheus Labs and Hanwha reminds of the connection between Disney and fellow blockchain company, Dragonchain. Also aiding in the comparison is that MITx and DRGN will have fairly similar max coin supplies after the MITx token burn.
Dragonchain's connection to Disney created an enormous amount of buzz, excitement, and hype in 2017.
With a connection to Disney, the DRGN token rode that momentum to an all-time high of just under $5.00 per token in 2018. By comparison, MITx is currently trading at approximately 0.014 USD per token.
How Did This Partnership Fly So Far Under The Radar?
The difference could be as simple as timing. Dragonchain launched and saw its success at the height of the 2017-2018 Bitcoin run to an all-time high of $19,783.21 dollars. Morpheus Labs launched at the beginning of one of the longest recessions in cryptocurrency history.
Additionally, if you are not in tune with the Asian markets, Hanwha may not have the same name recognition as Disney.
No Hype Needed
Morpheus Labs did not use the partnership to create marketing hype. Their intentions were pure. Improving blockchain education was the focus. This humble and noble approach has shown in every decision the Morpheus Lab's team has made while navigating through a difficult market over the past 12 months. It's not something we see from blockchain companies very often.
Consistent Successs
When you add the Hanwha Dreamplus partnership to the growing list of other strategic partners, you can clearly see that are working to build something special. These are not partnerships that were established to create buzz. Each one is strategic and valuable to the future of Morpheus Labs.

See Part 2 of this series for a list of announced partnerships (QuarkChain, VeChain, etc.)
Conclusion
The Hanwha partnership will never receive the same surface level hype that Dragonchain received with Disney. Morpheus Labs doesn't need it to. The Hanwha Dreamplus partnership already has more significance and meaning to the team, as well as to the future of blockchain education.
Blockchain is already thriving in Asia. Governments provide better regulatory framework and acceptance. They've put themselves at the forefront of technology and adoption. When it takes off, Morpheus Labs is positioned to be right in the middle of it all.

- The author of this article has personally invested in the MITx token.
- I did not use the Dragonchain/Disney comparions to take anything away from Dragonchain and what they are building. They are a phenominal company with or without Disney. The intended takeaway is simply that the Morpheus Labs/Hanwha Dreamplus partnership has not received the attention it deserves.
